Hi, I’m Arielle
I am passionate about food, community & health. Ironically, all of these things affect one another and play a vital role in our overall well-being. In 2016, I was constantly experiencing excruciating abdominal pain after eating certain foods; which eventually landed me in the emergency room. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with a condition that affects the digestive system called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Since then, it has been extremely challenging to commit to a lifestyle that fosters healing mentally, physically, spiritually & emotionally. I have learned how different digestive issues can affect my health regarding anxiety, depression, grief & vice versa; which in turn, can impact how I show up for myself, family & community.
So I started Vzn Ari Wellness in 2023, not as someone who is an expert on health, but as someone with lived experience with people, pain & perseverance. In the midst of building my coaching practice, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and have since been navigating my health journey by collaborating with traditional doctors and therapists to get to a place that fosters holistic care.
I have worked in the behavioral health field for over 14 years, which has included facilitating support groups, mental health presentations in schools, community health work and more. I currently work in a hospital setting with children ages 5-17 years old, as a Mental Health Coach. As someone who has climbed out of a number of dark places & who sees the need for community & connection in order to heal, my goal is to encourage, support, & connect individuals with resources needed for their health journey.
